Help

I am having trouble putting a 283 in my 65 with a 3 speed tranny I get the motor almost all the way in but cannot get it to slide all the way against the bell housing. I have a new flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing. I tried using longer bolts to draw it in but it still does not go all the way in. The truck used to have a 230 in it the clutch kit and fly wheel where ordered for a 283. Is ther a differenc in the pressure plate that is holding me up or should I look for a different problem? Thanks Dennis
