These guys have some interesting reading and products for LEDs:
http://superbrightleds.com/carbulb-notes.htm If you want to do a relatively cheap conversion, they appear to have 1157 style plug-in LED "bulbs", a 12-count LED for $4.99 and a 30-count LED for $8.99. At one time I was considering making my own LED-based system by using some NAPA LED trailer lights, and a couple Yamaha 100 headlight buckets I have laying around. But those trailer light LED counts are pretty low compared to the ones purpose made for our trucks, and the overall operation would not come out much cheaper since those trailer lights are about $24.00 each last I checked. |
