squeaking carrier bearing

Hey guys, I would like to here some of yall's opinion on this. I just converted my 70 swb fron a 3spd manual to a th350, when I put my driveshaft back in i noticed my carrier bearing started squeaking. I had the shaft laying under a carport but it still got some moisture to it. I was wondering if the 350 sits in the truck maybe a little higher than the 3spd causing stress to the bearing or is it just time to replace it? Btw it looks like the original bearing. Local shop quoted me about $150 to replace all u jouints & bearing. I might see about converting to 1 piece but what do ya'll think.
