I hate 4.10 gears
My 70 lwb "Road Dog" hates them even worse. I did all the calculations before changing from 3.07's. But driving is believing. How it went down was,
after i changed out to my new motor I wanted a little more low end (stump puller) grunt but now I'm in forth gear at 40mph. and I can't stand it. specs: 70 lwb 4x4, built 355 motor, sm465 4 speed manual tranny, np205 transfer case. Luckily I swapped out only the rear to see if I liked the 4.10's or not. NOT. I'll be putting back the 3.07's today. I also think half my problem is that sm465. I would love a 700r4.
