AC work (that time of year)

Well to the point, putting a 400 small block in my 69 GMC 1 ton flat bed with a serpentine kit which uses the smaller AC compressor. I want to clean up the rest of the engine compartment and get rid of the POA system. I seem to recall about 3-4,5? years ago an article in here---YES I SEARCHED-- about pulling the box apart and installing an OLDS? evaporator and using a receiver/dryer along with an expansion valve and 134a. Anybody recall this? I even printed it out but have lost it.
