Alternator problem - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My alternator has developed a hiccup, when the engine is running my amp guage bounces, the lights flicker, radio flickers,and the dash lights flicker, I checked the alternator it is putting out 15.6 volts (high output alt. by the way) single wire, self energizing, ground straps are hooked up two to the motor and one from inner passenger fender to frame. There are no bare wires touching or anything like that. Please help!!!!!!!!

Also the battery is new with full electrolite.
