edelbrock rejet job????

I have a Edelbrock 1406 carb. on my old 72 that I want to rejet a little leaner. I ordered new jets "#1426-.095, new rods"#1456, and a set of different springs. According to the chart I will be leaning down to the #7 position. My question is how hard of a job is this? According to the manual it is suppose to be a simple job but, I would like input from ordinary people who have done it, and their opion as to what I should be aware of before I start.
Thanks
