Carb questions--Don't laugh
I have alway messed with fuel injection. In fact, this is gonna show my age here, but this blazer is the first carbuerated vehicle I have ever owned.
The blazer has run pretty good so far. A couple weeks ago it gradually started getting harder to start and smelling richer and richer. Then it started missing. I changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor. It runs fine again, but still smells pretty rich. I think I'm gonna try and rebuild this carb. But I am going into it blind. Any advice or link would be appreciated on rebuilding and tuning a quadrajet. That being said--I've always heard that quadrajets are junk. Is it worth replacing later on for a daily driver/cruiser 305 that I'm more concerned about fuel mileage/drivability rather than power? If so, with what?
