New member - New ride!
Hey all, consider this my introduction. I just picked this one up 2 weeks ago from a guy just south of Jackson, MI. It was originally owned by two brothers that were mechanics and owned their own shop; they used it as a parts delivery truck. The PO bought it from them with the intent to restore, but lost interest.
It's a '72 C10 Cheyenne with 115,000 original miles. It has one replaced rocker panel (passenger side), and is largely rust-free. It also appears to have been painted, as the bottom trim peices came seperate and the window trim "fuzzies" have some overspray on them. The drivetrain appears to be almost completely untouched save for oil change, etc. I put some new plugs in it and ended up having to replace the battery. It runs well otherwise, I drive it every other day or so. I'm not totally sure what direction I'm going to go with it, but it will remain close to stock in the near future due to time constraints. I will be replacing the exhaust soon, and I was thinking about headers; any suggestions are welcome, preferably something that doesn't make it impossible to reach the spark plugs. So, whaddyathink? |
