Got my new truck home at last
She finally rolled into the driveway today. The neighbors shop was locked up, so I couldn't get my battery for it.......she had to come home behind my K-10. It's only 1/2 mile from here to there, but she drove great in the snow.......I had my K-10 in 4 Low so my wife wouldn't get too ancy with the throttle. The neighbor said he thought it had a 307 in it. Unfortunately he was right. suffix code TDA.......72 307. or an 80 350.......I'm guessing it's a 307. I still can't understand the mis-matched cylinder heads. The left one has holes for accessories.....the right one doesn't. Maybe I'll be lucky and someone bolted a big valve 327 head on it and I can turn it around for some bucks and put a set of 350 heads on it. I'm not looking for a screamer or anything here......I'll probably end up restoring it someday, but for now, I'll swap some parts around for my 4x4 and put this one to work. Heck, it's even got new springs and new brakes.
I kinda like the hubcaps too......it's got the full wheel style with the imitation nuts around the outside. Other than the mis-matched heads and the wrong color paint, it appears to be unmolested.....the hood hinges are even good!!!!!
