67 Panel

hey guys maybe you could all chime in and offer your advice or encouragement/ discouragement..
I am on Vacation and stumbled across a 67 Panel truck.... its basically a solid truck in need of some TLC.... all the good stuff that you cannot replace is there, and not rotten, but it has a 3/4 or 1 ton frame under it.... ( my guess is a 1 ton because it has a double stack of leafs . It also has a GM corp 14 axle, the hull tag indicates a 157 as the first 3 digits... ( 1/2T V8 67)it appears to be originally and orange truck that a P/O painted over in Met. Blue... (inc the TSID dash sticker) so I cannot ascertain all the info
thegood
the frame is clean the floor is solid and all there, the panels are great any minor rot can be replaced with aftermarket panels.... minor floor rot on DS it has side mouldings.... like a CST would have...and the current owner (who put the clip on it) salvaged the A/C system from the 72 (but not the dash panel)
the bad.. it has a 72 GMC 1500 clip on it..and the front core support mounts do not line up withtheframe mounts....( about a 1/2 in off on the front to back axis)
basically all there to make it a good truck... the battery was toast and it wouldnt take a jump... I couldnt hear the 72 350 run.... I will go back Mon night to hear it run and spend a lil more time looking it over..
basically anything I should look for?
to me these trucks are liek HENS TEETH and very cool
I think it might be awesome on a 4x4frame...
let me know your thoughts... thanks
