intake gasket

Any one use the little metal heat crossover deals in there intake gaskets? I just lost another intake gasket and I have a spare set but I lost the little metal things. I think the reason They keep going out on me is because I keep using the end gaskets instead of just a bead of RTV they keep the intake to high and push out when you torque the intake down and then start leaking, second time around I just delt with it because it was such a little leak and it only happened when you made a hard turn. Well I just noticed that the little puddle of oil on my intake was bubbling and my vacuum reading was a little lower than normal so I guess it has to be changed now

Oh and it's a weiand 142 blower intake so there is no heat crossover.
