Can't find my Head Casting #'s!

I have looked (?) all ver my heads and I can not find my casting #'s to try to figure out what the spec.'s of my heads are. The engine is a 4-bolt crate made in 98 in Mexico for GM (casting off of block). The guy I bought the truck from said the engine is a crate engine, but unsure if it was a short block or long block. I am thinking a short block due to the mild cam (again no spec.'s). The heads are not aluminum. I wonder if Iron heads from summit have an identification on them and where it would be at. I felt the head at the firewall and cout not feal any numbers. I would not thing I would nave to take the intake off. Really not looking to tear the engine apart, just wanted to know for future project ideas.
