Big Block Fuel line / Filter Pics at Carb?

Well After Mounting my Fuel Filter behind the mechanical pump and running into fuel starving / Vapor lock issues. (which I knew what the problem was caused from thanks to a previous post by Longhorn Man) I am Shopping around for Replacments after the pump. I would like something that looks good since I am trying to clean u[p the engine compartment, as well as works so here are a few pics and questions.

I have a q-jet does that take 3/8 or 5/16 npt?

Is the outlet on the fuel pump (stock mechanical) 3/8 npt

Should I remopved the q-jet incarb filter if I am going to run another one.
