Long and short step fenders are the same, so you can use either. The one thing I would try differently next time is that I would try using body adhesive bonding glue (like is used in new cars) to put the mounts on the fenders. I got some warpage from welding, and I think that would eliminated it. Most newer trucks have the bedsides held on that way, and it is really good stuff.
The other thing is that really wish I had converted it to K-30, but with as much pulling as I'm gonna do with it, it will probably be more effecient without the extra weight. It sure would look good though!
