Power brake conversion question

I bought a new brake booster kit from CPP. The problem I have is that my Edelbrock performer intake has 2 vacuum locations, 1 is going to the transmission and the other goes over to the valve cover. There is a smaller one on the rear of the Edelbrock carb but is a smaller size than the fitting that was supplied with the booster kit. Do you think I can just get a smaller fitting and hose for the booster or do I need to do put a "T" or something in the line that is going to the transmission? I do have this question out to CPP but would like to get this figured out pretty quick. Thanks for any help.
