New guy from CT

Howdy All

I'm Ken from CT.

This was my grandparents 60 Chevy Apache to restore and it's in pretty sad shape. It took me quite a while to talk my aunt out of this truck and while I was doing so it sat in a field for years (about 25)and was used as a scratching post by the cows.

Here's a couple of pics of it. I've been gathering tools and parts over the last few years and finally think I have enough to get going on it.

This is not long after I brought it back from VA. Took the bed off and stored it.

Up on the rotisserie I built.

The bottom of the cab isn't too bad. Most of the rust is in the usual places and the roof.

I sandblasted the cab and am in the process of replacing the cowl. I bought one off of ebay and the seller cut it on the wrong side of the spot welds so it was short by a few inches. Luckily I had enough of the old cowl to use.

Here's the rotisserie I built. Found the plans online and it works fairly well.
