How to remove gas tank

I'm wanting to take the tank out of my cab so I can do some welding on my floor back in there. I have the seat and everything else out. I haven't removed the tank yet, but from just looking at it, it looks pretty simple to do. Only thing I'm wondering about is the spout. After I take the tank loose and unhook the lines what do I do? Do I just yank on the tank and pull the spout through the grommet?? It just looks like it might be a problem. Before I start, any helpful tips on removing the tank would be appreciated thanks.
