Fuel Tank Quandry

Evening Y'all,

Went to the wrecking yard today looking for a rear mount fuel tank. I looked at the usuals, from vans and blazers, but I don't really want one that big. I happened across the tank from a 90 Isuzu Trooper, and it looks like it'll work really well. Has anybody ever tried this? I imagine the sending unit would work since I'm gonna use Autometer guages, but I'm not sure about the fuel pump assembly. The motor in the trooper is a 4 banger I think, so I don't imagine the pump will push enough fuel. I'm wondering if I can replace the pump with a regular pick up tube, and then run an inline, or manual pump.

Whatdya think?
