Is it possible to mix-and-match aftermarket gauges with stock ones?

I'm wondering if its possible to replace the bottom four gauges on my gauge cluster with ones from autometer and still retain my original ones on top, you know the speedo, tach, and fuel gauge. I will be also re-wiring the truck with a harness from ez-wiring(mini fuse panel). I'm wanting to do this because the upper three gauges are in very good condition and work very well. The lower four gauges pretty much work when they want to. Plus I don't feel or want to "shell-out" a large sum of money for that ever elusive 3 3/8 fuel or water gauge for the center. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
