winsock error

I have a gateway laptop running windows xp sp 3 edition. It started having internet explorer errors yesterday after a install went bad. Now i can't even run internet explorer or get a connection. I have run virus checks, adaware, network diagnostics, etc. Durind diagnostics i get this error over and over. Any ideas on what i can do to fix this. I'm about to run hijack this on it and see if i can post a log shortly. Thanks!
