Por15 the bed rails or not to.
I took my wood bed out and took out the metal strips that hold down the wood.
I'm going to pull the bed completely off and hit the frame with some POR15 and wanted to clean up the supports that ran left to right across the frame, which of course supports the bed and the wood. Should I POR15 them as well or should I just hit with some epoxy primer and paint or hit it with some elbow grease followed up with some primer and good old Rustoleum paint since nobody is going to see it anyways? I'm on a slow track for this build and wanted to start with the rear and slowly move forward. I have Zero body work skills so its all trial by fire, but I'm aware things have to be preped and cleaned before anything can be done. Thats why I figured I'd hammer on the frame then move up. Being low on funds doesn't help either so its all about timing. |
