Help with Manual Brakes
Well I'm back to thinking I've just always liked the looks of manual brakes. I was going to go hydroboost, but I called Wilwood and they said that with a 1" master cylinder or a 7/8" one, that I should be able to get plenty of stop from my disc setup. Actually they just said the 1" part w/ a 6:1 pedal ratio and I added the 7/8 because it looks like it would build better pressure with the pedal ratio that's there, about 5.5:1. I'm going to call them again tomorrow and discuss again. What are you guys having good luck with? I think I definitely ran too large a bore on my old truck and you always had to pump it twice which apparently could be avoided with 2lb residual valves. The aluminum one that's on DJ's truck is from a dodge caravan, but I think I definitely went with 2 large a bore size after doing some research now.
