another for the crusher
hey guys this is my first time posting in the 67-72 side. i have a 87 crew cab dually and i am a big fan of the older ones too.
so ive seen this 72 camper dually by my shop and haven't meet the owner until yesterday. i asked him about the truck and he told me it had no motor or tranny and he was moving from florida to tennesse and needed to dispose of the truck. i told him i would shot some pics and put them up here and he informed me the scrapers were on the way and he was selling it for $200 for scrap metal. if i had $200 dollors and needed another project i could of got him to call off the scrapers but i had to pass on this one. so thought you guys would find this intreating, sad or atleast informative to see the evolution of things. im sure there was more than a few classics cars and trucks have gone the way of the scraper only to see restored versions sell for big money years later. im not implying we will be seeing any 72 campers go through barett jackson for hugh sums but this could have been a cool project for sombody. and now a molment of silence for the camper: rip camper ![]() lets hear some of your experiences with the metal recyclers or "scrapers" i like to call them. |
