HEI MSD Distributors - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was looking for some help on which MSD distributor would be best for my truck. I have a 69 Chevy with a 350. I intend to up grade as I go with some bolt on performance parts but thats about it. Right now it is stock with the exception of an Edelbrock 600cfm carb.

When I called MSD for advice they asked how many pins on the current distributor? Am I correct that the pins are electrical connections?

The MSD Pro-Billet PN 8365 the one I was looking at.
