Can anyone tell me I am not CRAZY?
I must be crazy, I couldn't help myself! I went to look at some "rust free" doors and ended up with a whole truck! The only problem with this is I am only halfway through my resto of my 68 short fleet big block. I could'nt really afford it but, when I saw the 72 Cheyenne short fleet big block I had to have it! It's a sad story one I'm sure you have all heard before; The story goes it was originally from Nevada found in a junk yard,(minor fender bender) was driven back to NW OH. The original motor was rebuilt front end suspension gone through and has been sitting in storage for almost 19 years now...If anyone from the midwest knows these trucks are just not that plentiful here in this condition (especcially in your back yard (15 miles away)). I will not say what I paid for it but, I think it was fair. The truck looks much beter in person than in pictures. I can see through the mis match PERFECT tailgate and fender and faded paint. The truck has factory air, tilt and a 402 BBC. I have checked all the numbers Block, intake, exhaust manifold, cab door (build date) and they all are correct. I also got the stock wheels and hub caps, carb for it. You may have seen it on Ebay? I must be crazy because I need another truck like I need another hole in my head. I will park it for now and start restoration at a later date....pictures attached..BIG BLOCK RICH...CASH POOR...
