More help needed

I posted yesterday in regards to some engine problems. I have a 70' 350 from an Impala in my 70' C10. I was having problems with hesitation and low power after engine ran for a mile or two. Motor was rebuilt 5 years ago. I've changed the tank sock, fuel lines, fuel pump, installed a regulator and cleaned the carb. Last night I changed the distributor cap, rotor button, module and plug wires. Now it won't fire. I cleaned the inside of the distributor and may have moved the part that the button screws to. Could I have knocked it out of timing? And should the tip of the rotor button be under the number one plug wire tip on the cap?
