Thanks for your comment. I think you're right and I'll just have to get a longer alternator housing bolt and build a spacer to mount the bracket. I guess I just assumed that M & H had this all factored in when they designed the harness with the internal regulator wiring modifications and the bracket they supply was intended to mount in a specific location on an internally regulated alternator. It's obvious to me now that the original regulator has an entirely different housing design and rear configuration. If I come up with some "slick" way to do this I'll be sure and post it for all. Thanks again!
