Re: Vortec crate motor?

All of the roller cams that Comp Cams sells for factory roller block have a fuel pump lobe. They will work with a mechanical fuel pump in any factory roller block that has provisions for a mechanical fuel pump. I've read that later blocks dont have the push rod bore drilled out. If you want to do a cam upgrade and retain a mechanical fuel pump, this isn't a bad way to go.

Of course, the electric pump is a good idea if you want to stick with a stock cam.
