what is the best way to repair the front header panel of a cab? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

the cab I have has rust on both sides above the wind sheild behind the sunvisors. We have limited experience in welding in that kind of area. is it easier to cut out the small spots that are bad and replace with fresh metal. or is it easier to cut out the whole front header panel and relace it with the one that LMC offers for $100 bucks? i really dont want to use bondo... but will if i have to. does any one have pics of theirs being repaired? i dont want to make it worse then it is.....
