Can I paint dash - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Bought a dash -direct replacement dash pad some while ago (black) have since decided I WANT IT GRAY . Too much hassle in shipping etc. to exchange it / also have probably had it too long . Ordered some paint (dye) from SEM . THEN SAW ON INstructions DO NOT PAINT - MOST PAINTS WILL NOT ADHERE TO IT - ITS MADE OF POLYURETHANE- .Have any of you ever painted a polurethane pad with SEM PAINT 7 IS THERE another brand that may work . Reall dont want to mess it up . Any help appreciated.
