Ok I got a used truck from a friend
its a 1985 chevy truck 2wd long wb he had a friend put in a rebuilt 305v8 in it its from a old car I think - Maybe late 70s - I dont know It had a 4 barrel that used a crap load of gas, it got only about 12mpg Some one else I knew had a truck just like mine 305v8 he got 18-20mpg using a 2 barrel carb So I got a 2 barrel, got a adapter plate to mount it - The plate did not work- so had to make my own - three hours of metal work later - got it mounted - it runs ok but what about the vacuum lines ? There were not any vacuum lines on the truck when I got it - Except for the transmission and Heating-AC control and they were going to the manifold vacuum source The motor seams to run just fine with all vacuum lines pluged - is that normal right now I got the choke, transmission going manifold vacuum source And the Distributor, Heating-AC control to a constant vacuum source on the carb Also its got a Electronic Spark Timing Distributor - With a place for a vacuum line - Do I have it in the right place ? And just about every emmision device is gone - not that I care |
