Question Dually Rear ends.??????

Does anyone know the width measurements on a dually rear (backing plate to backing plate) on a conventional box bed dually? I know the one used on a cab/chassis is narrower but I don't know the measurement..I'm trying to locate a rearend to convert my 72 crew to a dually, but I want the wide one so I can run fender extensions...Anyone know???
