flatbed ideas

Hey all, I spend most of my time over on the 67-72 page. Anyway, my very generous neighbour just recently gave me his old (and very rusty) 1981 gmc 1/2 lwb. It's got a propane powered 292 six turbo 350, runs like a top, drives straight, stops good, etc, but the rust (especially on the box) is brutal. I'm thinking about scrapping the box and making up a flatbed/2x8/angle iron arrangement on the back. Anyone done this on here? Pics would be greatly appreciatted. Thanks, Lew
