Trim questions

I just bought my first truck. It's a '72 LWB, 350, orange and white and fac. ac. It's a real nice truck and everything major is original. I am getting the truck pained soon (same orange and white) and would like to restore the trim. The black paint on the upper trim is faded and the woodgrain on the lower trim is peeling. What is the best way to repair it?

Thanks.
