Tilt column dissassemble. Experts HELP!!
I got a tilt from a buddy of mine that came out of a motorhome. It looks good on the top side, but the lower tube looks like it came off the Titanic - bad rust and lower bearing gone. These have the same shafts as trucks so I am going to use some parts from a van column to repair this one, mainly the tube and lower bearing parts. I've got the column torn down as far as I can and I can't figure out how to separate the shift collar from the tube housing. Any help?? Thanks.
Joshua
