Doing w/out is driving me CRAZY!
Ok...as you can tell, I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado with the 5.3L in it and just about every bell and whistle you can think of. Granted...it's a 99 and it's 10 years old. The one thing that is driving me insane is not having an outside temperature reading in it somewhere! Yep, that's right...I know it's a little simple thing, but I sure do miss having it. I've had a Chevy Tahoe all the way back to a 96 model and I'm pretty sure it had one in it. If it didn't, I know that my 99 Tahoe did.
I don't know why it runs all over me, but it does. I guess I'm getting the "weather obsession" from my mother. My family has an ongoing joke with each other, that when we want to know what the weather is going to be like..to call my mother. She's a Weather Channel freak! I've thought about finding a rear view mirror somewhere that has it built in and installing it. I'm not sure how it gets the temperature though. Is there a sensor that comes with it, or does it pull the reading from the vehicle's computer? Anyone have any ideas for me? I know this isn't even a problem, but it would help calm me down just to know what the dang temperature is as I spend 4 hours in my truck commuting every day! HA! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Cory
