1978 Chevy K-10 (The big Green Beast)

Update: 12-18-08

Never really been on the message board before, so i thought i'd check it out tonight and post up what my project is. When i turned 14 i was dying to get a truck. Everything i looked at was two expensive or a rust bucket. Then i stumbled across this truck. It's a plain jane 78 k-10. When i first got it, it had next to nothing for rust, but the engine needed freshened up badly. The price was right for $1,000 so with some help i bought it. Now it has been a never ending project for the last five years. I've bought and parted out i think 4 trucks, a blazer, and a suburban just to get parts i neede for it. I replaced the factory wheels with a set of rally's about a year after i got it. Switched to chrome mirros and front bumper. Put a trailer hitch on her. 2 years ago my dad and i replaced one bedside. Then we put a new motor that we built ourselves in it. Replaced the Th350 and 203 transfer case with a rebuilt Th400 and a converted to part time 203 transfer case. This past spring i bought a new cab for it as the iowa winters have taken its toll on the original one in the last five years. Its getting ready to go on this spring. When i do that i'm adding air conditioning, power locks and windows, and carpet.i'm also gonna replace the bed floor with another one i bought. Over the christmas break here i'm replacing the 3.08 gear 1/2 ton axles with a light duty 10 bolt, 8-lug front axle and the rear with a dana 70 hd. Both are 3.73 gears. This spring i will also put a posi in the rear end. Also when ichange out the axles i'm beefing up the springs and adding a 4 inch lift. Unfortunately i can't use my rallys when i do that anymore, so i will have to settle for wagon wheels for the time being which i am painting the same color as the truck. By the way, i swear by thosae BFG All Terrain T/As. Those tires were practically new on the truck five years ago when i bought it, they are just getting down to half tread life and i've put close to 30,000 hard miles on them. Belwo ares some pics of when i firsat got the truck and how it looks now. Also some pics of all the crap i have for it. Feel free to give your input. All is appreciarted.
