Angry JBA shorties eating wires

I've had JBA shorties on my truck for about a year now. And, recently, they've been eating the #3 cylinder wire, and the wire acrs to the header. I've been through about 3 sets of wires, and I'm going to be using some boot protectors and some heli-core multiangle MSD wires. I need to know how or what I can use to stop these wires and boots from melting and arcing, since the straight boot is almost right ontop of the header tube.
