Salt from the Bonneville Salt Flats, What to do with it? New & improved with photos!!

Ok. Everyone knows that Longhornman and i just completed a road trip from Oregon to Ohio. And tons of places in between.

One place in particular we went was the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Knowing full and well how much space we were going to use on the board once we got back i had an idea.

Get some salt from the flats. Then either raffle it off or auction it off on the board. Then donate the proceeds to the board. That was the idea.

Well. I got approval from Josh.

So the next idea is, Which to do?

Now its just a jar of salt. And its in a former salsa jar. Recycle i say.

And to anyone who knows, or doesn't. The salt flats salt is more like sticky mud.

But..... Andy and i will sign a letter of Authenticity. And an autographed picture of us in front of the Bonneville Salt flats sign.

ALSO, i will include a old school UNUSED Mountain Dew sticker from the 1980's. If all goes well some Mt.Dew bottlecap refridgerator magnets made by me as well.

I know many of you followed the trip threads. And will view the rest when Andy gets a new pic and commentary thread started.

This board is important to us. As i know it is for TONS of you all.

We feel we need to give back to the board that has brought so many of us together.

I know the economy sucks. And money does not grow on trees.

And we also understand many can not for whatever reason take trips like this.

It does not matter if it brings $5 or $500. We don't care. Its about giving back to those that give to us. In this case the board.

So that is the topic of this post. What to do? Auction? or Raffle?

YOU decide. Please take time to vote on this. As it will be the deciding factor.

Some stuff will be decided later. Depending on how the poll goes.

If auction is preferred we can put it on Ebay, post a link, and you can pay with PayPal right to Josh.

If a raffle is decided i will probably send the tickets with everyones name on them to Josh. Then let him pick the winner.

All will be decided in about a week.
