Front Fender Fitment help on a 69

anyone ever have a problem with fitment of an aftermarket/reproduction fender? im trying to think of a good way to get this to fit besides trimming the rocker, which i may end up doing , heres a pic, you can see the gap between the fender and the door, and you can see that the rocker sticks out past the door.... yet the rocker is lined up PERFECTLY with the backside, so i dont get it, probably just a bad repoduction rocker??? either way, you can see how the fender overlaps

my only ideas are to either grind the end of the rocker, or use a hammer and tap tap tap away until i get it even with the door.

that or i was going to try to widen the alignment holes on top at the windshield area, so i can try to slide the fender forward more, but not sure how well that will work either.

any ideas are welcome! thanks guys.

and heres one more just because it looks so good with a good fender on it finally!
