Question drive shafts

I recently converted a truck from a manual to an automatic. My question is this. It origanaly had a two peice drive shaft in it. Well dummy me got a jack leg to shorten it so it would fit with the new transmission and he really messed it up. I am thinking about getting one made up, It will probabley be about 6 feet or a shy shorter than that.I really want to go back with a one peice drive shaft. Is this possible? Has anyone ever did a conversion like this and is there any help out there for me so I can once again be cruisin. Thanx a BUNCH!!!
