Hello from OK.

New guy here with an old truck. I have a 68 long fleet with what appears to be a 350/350 setup (have not scraped the 5" encasement of grease-dirt yet), but I already have plans to swap it out. I picked my name because of what I will have to do to this truck. It would win the "beater of the month" award hands-down. I got it because I missed the 68 I had in high school. That one was super-sweet! Factory heat & A/C, 327, TH400, I shaved the chrome down the sides and put chrome reverse smoothies with baby moons on it. But I couldn't afford the gas for awhile there, so I had to sell it. Now I have one again I feel better about myself already. I have in my possesion a freshly-built 350 TPI motor. Once I get the time and money to get all the incidentals for that swap I will do it. I also have a freshly-built TH400, but I kinda was thinking about getting the 700R4 instead. Maybe you guys can give insight on this. I will post pics soon as I have the different jobs done. So far I have only done boring stuff on the existing crap motor so that it will start everyday. For instance: today I changed the oilpan. Just swapped it for a stock one because the last goob that had the truck stopped the leaky drain plug by JB Welding it shut. Thanks, man. Oh well. It runs for now and affords me time to save up and build it right. I will try to do the picture and post thing to show any progress and I will get ideas from you guys.
Thanks.
