Carb & Intake Question??

Ok any help on this matter would be much appreciated. Here is the deal I Have a 72 with a 307ci with stock everything to my knowledge. A freind of mine was having his 350 block machined and came to find out it had a crack in it, so he bought a crate motor. He sold me a few parts from the motor for what I think is a great deal? (what do you think)? For $250 I got a edelbrock Performer RPM, A Highflow water pump, set of headers and the carb that I have the question about. I know it is way overkill for my motor but hopeing it will work and not drowned out my motor. It is a Holley 750 cfm vacum sec. What are my chances of making this combo work well on my motor and are there any suggestions any of you may have. If this is in no way would ever work I will try and trade for a 650 or less but would love to just bolt her on and go. I am planning on installing a MSD ignition, plugs, wires etc. So anyway what do ya think. Thank in advance for any input.
