From the cold, frozen north
Hi,
I'm Scott, from northern BC, Canada. Prince George is my theoretical home, if anybody cares, but I don't live there most of the time. Anyways, bought a 76 GMC K25... Or at least I'm fairly certain thats what it is. It's ugly, really ugly. But sports a 400, TH-350, NP203, D44 front, 14B FF rear. Like any previously enjoyed automobile, it has a list of problems beyond anything reasonable. It almost made the drive 'home' when I bought it, but I wound up needing to use one of my free tows on it. Apparently it has fuel delivery problems, or something of that sort. Also, it's 5 different colours, only the speedometer and one of the fuel gauges works, and it has no locks or interior panels on the doors. And there is no indication of it having had any rearview mirrors, ever. Oh, I'm not really into the lowered thing, or really the 'pretty truck' thing. It just doesn't work here. So, I think my 'to-do' list is something like this: -Figure out why it quit (fuel issue), fix that. -Fix the little rust issues. Roll on some quality paint (rustoleum hammered comes to mind). -Add some locks, door panels, etc -Maybe a rearview mirror or two would be nice -Fix gauges, hack wiring -Fix everything else I find wrong with it during this time -Stick some 35s on it. |
