Cool RIP 1980 Scottsdale

Well. The 80's SM456 is toast. The 454 in the 79 is in need of help. So, Monday, we did a heart transplant. The 80 350 engine into the 79.

Now, I have a 80 with no motor. and a 79 that needs a bunch of stuff off the 80. So, I'll be stripping the parts I need to complete the 79. And get rid of whats left.

Although, it was suggested that I take the bare 80 Long bed frame, center mount the 454. And make a bizarre Rat Rod. My son and his friends suggested the center mount motor and a La-Z-Boy for a forward. centered drive seat. 55 gal drums for fenders and sheetmetal. Straight front axle with street tires and BFG 35x12.50's on the back.

I cannot picture this beast, but, it intrigues me!!

Anyhow. 1980 K10 Scottsdale. R.I.P.
