Hello From Washington State

Just registered a few days ago and thought i should say my hello's. Hello.

My name is Jason and i am from Puyallup, WA aprrox 30mi s of seattle.

My truck is a 1972 GMC Custom Camper 3/4 ton. (fender says GMC 2500 Super Custom); Automatic; non dana rear end; non ac; leaf rear suspension; coil front suspension; Small block 350. Single Exhaust, Gm Delco AM radio, original paint and still has chalk marks on the firewall. Interior complete with broken cigarette lighter socket and missing shift indicator thing.

WHat i want/need to do.
  • I want to paint it Terrace Blue (503 2365 Ditzler Automotive Finishes #) but i am not sure how that is going to on a two tone paint job, want to keep the white parts white. Does any one have a pic of what that color looks like two tone, i may just keep it the color it is, if i can figure out what color that is (sucks being partially color blind) owned an s10 thinking it was grey turns to be a tannish color.
  • Clean up engine area (Chrome vavle covers paint fender wells fire wall etc.)
  • New Rear Bumper
  • New rims or salvage the old ones
  • New tires
  • New exhaust dual pipe with healthy rumble, need to do soon so exhaust leak one both sides of the muffler.
  • Repair or replace front grill and head light trim (spendy items) rusted out, grill not too bad but pitted
  • Replace upper trim and worn discolored pieces of bottom trim
  • Replace any other dented or missing chrome
  • Redo cab corners and fix rot on doors and floor pan, floor pan isnt too bad lmc sell individual pieces i could weld in
  • Fix cigarette liter
  • Replace Instrument cluster black cover and clean glass replace lightbulbs (roll back odometer J/K its excempt anyway)
  • Paint interior either way
  • New Stering wheel
  • New shift indicater
  • New light socket that goes under gear selector
  • New glove box
  • Paint Glove box door
  • new arm rests

I'll shut up now and will be making my own site for this truck to track the progress and i need to take some non snow pictures.

Got a quote of approx 2k for the paint and body work if i supply the replacement sheet metal and gut the interior.
