Question Gastank...Can anyone identify this?

I know that LMC sells 2 gas tanks, one with EEC and one without. I have one without in my truck now but I need to swap it. I found one out of a 72 and it has EEC but on the opposite side of the tank there is another nozzel attached. I have never seen this and don't know what hooks up to it?? does anybody know? I don't want to put it in my truck if there is an open valve.
