How low until a drop x-member is needed?

How much drop until a drop crossmember is needed for the driveshaft? I have a 72 GMC lwb and will be swapping it to a 71 Chevy lwb frame with rearend in a few months. I already have the airride on the front with RE7's. I also have the RE7's for the rear along with the valves and 1/2" line. I just ordered the adj. trac bar and shock relocators, and c-notch, and hidden hitch. The only thing I need now is another tank and compressor. Then a lot of hard work. I will be getting the 71 frame stripped and powdercoated and installing the blazer tank. Any pics of drop x members?
