Unhappy 4 Speed - Did I kill it? Help!

Ok,
so I was stopped at a stop light late last night at the bottom of my street with the truck in 2nd gear (1st is Granny) and clutch pedal depressed completely, literally sitting there stopped waiting for a green light.

All of a sudden I heard and felt [through the clutch pedal] a snap. I also heard the sound of metal-to-metal rotating around in a circular motion, most likely coming from inside the transmission itself. The truck died instantly and was towed around the block back to my house. I crawled under the truck this morning and the clutch linkage assembly is all intact and still have a normal feeling clutch. Transmission can be put into each gear easily with the truck off.

What do you guys think happened?

Thanks in advance
